Wireless set No. 19, MK II. Canada, around 1942.
Commonly known as Wireless Set No. 19, it was a mobile radio transceiver used in World War II mainly by the American and British armies. Designed to be used in tanks and armored vehicles, it was developed in 1940 by the British War Office's and by Pye Radio, the Pye model being replaced by the Mk II model in 1940 and this by the Mk III in 1942. In this year it was produced the No. 19 Mk II in Canada, improving on the British design (most Canadian ensembles or sets used English or Cyrillic letters on the front panel, the result of a contract with the Soviet Army) Weight 25 KG .." ·
