Rollglobus 'Rollable Globe' by Austrian Geographer Robert Haardt

About the Item

For sale is an original Austrian "Rollglobus" (rollable globe). It was produced in Austria in the 1950s and designed after the system of Austrian Geographer Robert Haardt. The little globe (diameter 11cm) is made from sturdy papier maché and supported by a dark brown plastic ring (height: 4.2cm) with some measuring system embossed and painted white. The globe is rollable and can be viewed and measured from both sides, top and bottom. The object is in excellent vintage condition. Measurements: Height: 11cm Diameter: 13cm.
