Celestial globe by Kelvin & Hughes, in original case with accessories

About the Item

A 7 inch celestial globe by Kelvin & Hughes, circa 1975. Twilight setting pattern. The globe is mounted in a brass meridian circle, the circle is divided 0 - 90° in four quadrants. The globe shows all the stars in the (abridged) Nautical Almanac (1958) and a number of additional ones. 57 selected stars have their names printed in capitals. Globe cartouche marked: STAR GOBE KELVIN & HUGHES LTD EPOCH 1975 Printed by George Philip & Son, Ltd. MAGNITUDES 01234 With red and blue Chinagraph pencils, and 3 brass cursors.
