Copper Lifeboat Compass, American, C. 1970's
About the Item
An American, copper, liquid compass from a ship's lifeboat. It has a snap-shut lid to protect it from the elements and the original brass bolts that held into place. The compass sits under a glass dome and is in perfect working order. The steel face plate at the front gives directions on "How To Find and Adjust Normal Compass Error", to use while underway. A rare find.
