A "Trident" electric Mark III ship's taffrail log by Thomas Walker and Son, Birmingham, circa 1940 - 1950. With twin Walker Cherub rotators. Mounted on oak display base. For a similar Walker's Trident Electric Mark III log see the collection of the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich, Object ID: NAV0749. Thomas Walker and Son of 58 Oxford Street, Birmingham. Later of 'The Walker Building' 58 Oxford Street, Birmingham. In 1861 Thomas Walker patented the first Walker's ship Log.
