About the Item
A pretty and highly decorative barometer of banjo form, marked ‘Palladio’ and Italy . Hand carved with leaves , ropes , fruit and flutes .
The case probably having distressed finish ( to have aged look ) when created ,has further wear and distress . Losses to gilding ,losses to paint and minor chipping ( with some repair ) . Overall attractive appearance for a vintage piece.
It is assumed to be no longer working , tho’the needle hand does seem to be moving .
Overall a decorative appearance.
