1901 Art Nouveau Sheffield Plate Cricket Trophy Shield by Walker Hall & Sons

1901 Art Nouveau Sheffield plate cricket trophy shield by Walker Hall & Sons This is a fantastic piece, a work of art, the oak shield has an embossed Sheffield silver plate, in the centre of this a scene from a cricket match and around this Art Nouveau stylised angels and other leaves etc. and was made by Walker Hall & Sons At the top of the cartouche there is a red leather cricket ball and around the edges engraved shields of the winners of the cup from 1901 onwards This is a truly beautiful piece, the shield has a stand at the back, it is in good sound condition though some of the plate has been worn away by an eager polisher TKW100.
