About the Item

Handcrafted and perfectly realistic wooden soccer ball on hexagonal base. This rare and beautifully made soccer ball is in near-mint condition and it is made in almost the same size as the ones with which they play in pro soccer. This stunning ball is only half an inch smaller in diameter than a real soccer ball. This fine example dates from the 1980s or 1990s, it could not be more realistic and it stands on an equally perfect, hexagonal wooden base. This looks extra cool and 'symmetrical', because each segment in a soccer ball also is hexagonal in form/design/shape. We will never understand how some people are capable of hand creating a perfectly round ball out of wood like this. And even if you are very handy then you will understand how extremely time consuming it is to first draw the design on paper and then make every single piece by hand and then putting them all together. It all has to be done to perfection and the artisan whom created this ball has managed to do so. Finally, the laquered finish/surface brings out the calm grains in the wood even better making this the most wonderful object to look at.
