Early 1900s Carved Horn Asian Foo Dog Walking Stick with Metal Bands
Offered for sale is an early Asian 20th-century walking stick with a fine-quality carved horn foo dog top. The carving is well done with the quality that would be found in Asian ivory or stone carvings. The stick is ebonized wood and is decorated with brass or metal bands at the top and at the center. The original tip appears to have been replaced with a more modern rubber tip.
