About the Item
18th century, French bronze hunting dog collar and comb
A late 18th century, French bronze hunting dog collar, the collar is Engraved giving the piece the necessary provenance to trace the history of the Chateau and the family from which it has come.
The collar is very heavy and the quality show just how important the particular dog must have been, the collar has an adjustable screw clasp, a triple twisted chain on both sides and at the front a large engraved panel with a heavy ring to attach the dog to a lead or chain
The collar is 7 centimetres high, 67cm circumference on the largest size and it has 3 smaller size we are also including a bronze dog comb from the same chateau, this is 11cmx 6cm
