Six Large Chamois Trophies on Wooden Plaques Germany ca. 1900s A set of six antique Black Forest chamois (Rupicapra rupicapra) trophies mounted on turned wooden plaques with black finish. One plaque with handwritten inscription dated 1927 on the back. A rare set of trophies which will enhace your log cabin wall decoration. Trophies are mementos from the hunted game, which are kept by the huntsmen as a souvenir or decorative item. For many centuries it was a tradition to collect trophies.
