Antique 1917 General Joffre WWI French Trench Art Cigarette Lighter

About the Item

Very unique Trench art, WW1 era brass petrol lighter, on one side is the portrait of Marshal Joseph Joffre. Marshal Joffre was the Commander in Chief of the French forces on the Western Front from 1914 to 1916. He is best known for his victory against the Germans in the strategically decisive 1st Battle of the Marne in Sep. 1914. On the other side is a hard to find lion I believe represents England. It's in good condition and would be a wonderful piece of history to add to a collection.
