Robert Marcius for Casa Bique exquisite trunk sized box that can be used as a table. Covered in tessellated stone of contrasting coral shades, with ball form feet adding sculptural detail. Brass inlay complements the design elements.
Casa Bique was a custom furniture maker in the 1980s that manufactured in the Philippines in the same factory that produced the designs by Karl Springer and Maitland Smith.

This is a wonderfully simple yet beautiful tessellated stone veneered trunk. The manufacturing tag is still on the underside of the trunk and reads "Alexvale Furniture, Inc/ Philippines// item number///date. The featured stone specimens have been placed closely together and their sizes range from about 1" x 3" to 2"x 5" of different sizes.
