The Mother of all Apple Peelers – 1889

Buyer Protection Guaranteed

This is an antique cast Iron commercial apple peeler & corer. I've had a few of the large peeling machines in the past but this is the biggest and most complex example I've ever seem. The frame is clearly marked RIVAL No. 296. Pat. June, 25, 1889. It's in great original condition with no cracks or damage. Everything is complete and in good working condition... In fact you can see our test apple in the pictures. This device is also mounted to the original oak base. This is a big table top machine measuring almost 31" x 17". RIVAL is one of the rarest of the commercial machines as well as the largest. These were capable of peeling and coring hundreds of apples an hour and is a striking example of early technology at it's best. A very useful tool that also makes a impressive kitchen display.
