About the Item

Stunning design and good condition, hand crafted oakwood wall coat-rack with unique tiles. This rare and highly stylish Art Nouveau / Jugendstil coat rack is entirely original and in very good condition. Its large size and practical design makes it also suitable for larger families and because of the number and shape of the practical and beautiful bronze hooks there is plenty of room for coats, shawls and alike. This finer quality and 120 year old antique is handcrafted from solid oak only and over the many decades it has acquired an even more beautiful color, what we know as patina. Thanks to the warm patina of the antique oak, the stunning Majolica tiles with their hand-created green and pink rozes stand out even more against the darker background, This makes the tiles look even more vibrant. Their combination with the striking oakwood and the stylish bronze hooks is a match made in the applied arts heavens. Thanks to the original metal hooks on the back this coat rack also is very easy and safe to mount on your wall in just minutes. This piece really ticks all the boxes and if you like its design, quality, practicality and fine condition as much as we do then you will love our price. Especially since perfect packing and worldwide delivery from our store to your door in just 4 to 6 days are complimentary. Maximum width x height x depth (of the upper shelf): 41.4 x 11.7 x 4.9 inches.  We have a passion for the unique, for quality, for stylish yet practical and for craftsmanship of years gone by. Your purchases will be extremely well packaged and we look forward to serving you (again).

Arts and Crafts Era Coat Rack with Detailed and Deeply Carved Alabaster Tiles
Located in Lisse, NL
Antique and unique wall coatrack with amazing alabaster carvings. It is not often that you find an antique that is not completely original, but where they have done a great job in creating a, so called, marriage that simply looks beautiful. This handcrafted wall coat rack was made around 1900-1910, but the exeptionally detailed, hand carved alabaster tiles date back to circa 1850-1870. These mis-Victorian works of beauty are hand-carved in deep relief and both the fruits in the vases as the scrolling leaf patterns in the center tile are among the most detailed we have ever seen. All three tiles have no breaks in them and only minor losses. So if you are looking for a unique antique wall rack...
