About the Item
Model 999 AIUTO Coat rack in steel and plastic designed by Raul Barbieri & Giorgio Marianelli for Rexite, Italy circa 1980.
A simple and elegant post-modern design that offers functionnality without taking too much space.
The coat rack is in good condition, showing little to no signs of wear.
"Their real collaboration began in 1984 with the creation of the Coriandoli line for Zucchetti then continued with the creation of the Zetamix 3000 mixer. Together, they also designed the “Flu” desk lamp. These pieces were very successful. Biography Barbieri and Marianelli both graduated from the Polytechnic of Milan in architecture. At the beginning of the 1970s, they opened an architecture firm together which closed in 1989. Barbieri collaborated with numerous schools such as the European Institute of Design in Milan and the Ecole Nationale Supérieur de la Création Industrielle (ENSCI) in Paris. while running his own firm. He is the designer of the Oscar series (1994). Marianelli founded Marianelli Design in 1995 with architect Cesare Torno. He taught at the Faculty of Architecture in Wroclaw in Poland but also at ENSCI. He is at the origin of the Delfi, Metropolis and Nemo collection, pieces dating from the 90s."
