About the Item
Italian vintage side table with magazine rack, Italy circa 1980. Reminescent of the productions of Ettore Sottsass and the Memphis group,
The circular top is in high quality smoked glass, the sphere on top is plastic, the rest of the table is in black lacquered metal.
The table is in good condition, with minimal traces of use, no chips are present on the glass, the black paint on the metal is well preserved, the table has no structural issue and is a sturdy piece.
The Memphis Group, also known as Memphis Milano, was an Italian design and architecture group founded by Ettore Sottsass. It was active from 1980 to 1987. The group designed postmodern furniture, lighting, fabrics, carpets, ceramics, glass and metal objects.
