This is an antique Canterbury. An English, rosewood three sectioned magazine stand or newspaper rack, dating to the Regency period, circa 1820. Wonderful craftsmanship, adding distinction to any room Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order Select stocks offer fine grain interest and warm caramel hues Presented with a quality wax polish finish Striking X-shaped upper with circular wreath carving decorating the intersection Turned balusters unite each stanchion, with lobed ends Central drawer to base adding further storage, dressed with a pair of circular pulls Raised upon squat baluster legs and riding smoothly upon brass castors to each corner This is an attractive antique Canterbury, with distinctive craftsmanship and deep colour. Of useful size for several publications or sheet music if required. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
