Carlo Hauner. Magazine holder, c. 1950

About the Item

This rare magazine rack, designed around 1950 by Carlo Hauner, subtly combines elegance and functionality. Based on a black lacquered metal base, it exudes a contemporary look while ensuring perfect stability. This contrast between the dark base and the other materials gives the object a striking visual presence. The structure, made of hammered and lacquered copper, is distinguished by its refinement. The hammering of copper gives it a delicate and unique texture, accentuating its artisanal character. The lacquer applied to the copper preserves its shine while protecting the room against the effects of time. With its harmonious dimensions of 37 x 52 x 13 cm, this magazine holder is designed to accommodate magazines and newspapers while becoming a real decorative object. The sober and neat aesthetics of the whole enriches any interior by providing a touch of discreet sophistication.
