Vintage Italian Hollywood Regency magazine holder.
Could also serve as a plant stand or mail holder for an over-the-top Fash Mag Slag.
Molded faux tortoise shell acrylic trough with open ends supported by cast gilt brass mounts atop a thick slab of clear lucite supported by four black tapered legs with brass sabots and brass ball finials.
This is something Joan or Jackie Collins might have had in their boudoir.
Can be disassembled for ease of packing.
