Marvelous & most rare! This 19th century French Renaissance Revival umbrella / stick stand. Carved out of solid European oak by a master carver with breathtaking details. The umbrella stand is decorated with 2 lion masks holding brass rings, 2 sculpted heads & numerous floral decorations. The floral decorations consist of: 2 large richly carved panels on the center, 2 smaller ones on the sides and all 4 structural rods and bottom sides are also decorated with floral carvings. The quality of the carvings is stunning, the depth & expressions on the sculpted heads and lion masks for example. A one of a kind piece, its most rare to find a umbrella / stick stand of this quality with attention to detail.
