This is a large vintage chemical storage pot. An English, ceramic decorative hallway or umbrella stand, dating to the early 20th century, circa 1930. Fascinating former chemist's receptacle, ideal for decorative hallway use Displaying a desirable aged patina - spout showing signs of former careful repair Globular ceramic body in light beige hues beneath a glazed finish Half-dome cup handles to each side aid ease of movement Generous opening diameter of 15.5cm (6") Water spout to base with shaped lower edge - does not require a raised stand for display Maker's mark to the front fascia for Doulton & Co Ltd Further marked Made in England with serial numbers RM2 and TA1877 This is a fascinating vintage chemical storage pot, with pleasing form and useful as a distinctive hall stick or umbrella stand. Delivered polished and ready for the home. Dimensions: Max width: 53.5cm (21'') Max depth: 44.5cm (17.5'') Max height: 56.5cm (22.25'') Opening diameter: 15.5cm (6'').
