Poppins Umbrella Stand by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby for Magis, 2010

About the Item

Introducing the Poppins Umbrella Stand, a modern interpretation of the classic umbrella holder designed by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby. While traditional umbrella stands often accommodate long umbrellas with hooked handles, Poppins was thoughtfully created to elegantly support both long and compact umbrellas. Its distinctive triangular shape allows it to fit seamlessly into any space, whether nestled in a corner or standing upright. The innovative design features a simple series of holes that make it easy to store umbrellas of all sizes, whether furled or unfurled. Crafted from standard injection-moulded glossy ABS in a striking fluorescent orange (1080 C) glossy colour finish, Poppins boasts a playful yet sophisticated aesthetic. The glossy exterior not only enhances its visual appeal but also highlights its waterproof properties. The form of the umbrella stand is reminiscent of playful elements found in games, such as the triangle used in billiards or snooker. In excellent condition, the Poppins Umbrella Stand is the perfect blend of functionality and design—ideal for any home.
