One of a Kind Handwoven Wool Throw in Black with Red Tassels, in Stock
About the Item
Handwoven on backstrap looms in Chamula, Chiapas, the textile of this delightful throw is made 100% from wool sheared from Chamula community sheep, considered sacred in local culture, embroidered and decorated with red pompoms dyed with cochineal. These very special pieces can take up to three months to weave and are considered almost one of a kind, there is very limited availability of these pieces and may soon cease production altogether due to the laborious method used to make them. This textile lends an organic and international touch to any interior, beautiful as a throw and as a wall hanging.
Size, color and background pattern can vary a bit due to the fact that they are individually handmade. Please feel free to contact us to receive additional images of stock.
