Embroidered Textile Chasuble Religious Vestment

About the Item

Antique embroidered textile chasuble with floral decorative patterns in blue, yellow and pink, likely made in the 17th-18th century in Europe. The piece is framed and has marking on the back paper indicating it to be a gift from William Randolph Hearst to the American ambassador, and further markings indicating it to date from circa 1640-1740. In excellent vintage condition with age-appropriate wear to the textile.
