About the Item
A stunning vintage blue and white piece. This is a rare textile of exceptional artistic merit. Made by Yoruba women of south western Nigeria using a variety of resist dye techniques using indigo. The repetitive geometric motif is produced by a 'wax' resistance technique, similar to hollandaise wax techniques, create clean and graphic shapes. This would make a powerful wall hanging or textile for styling and decor. Measures: 4'9” (W) x 5'6” (L)
