Tulip Contemporary Wall Sconce, Wall Light in White Plaster, Hannah Woodhouse
By Hannah Woodhouse
Located in London, GB
Handmade Tulip organic modern wall light/ wall sconce, in silky smooth white plaster, created by artist Hannah Woodhouse in her London studio. Contemporary organic modern design inspired by nature and midcentury European sculpture. The Tulip wall sconce not only provides soft ambient illumination, but is also a beautiful sculpture. Uplighter with one bulb. IP20 (interior use) (can be converted to IP44 use). Height 11.8" (30 cm). *IMPORTANT: the FOOTPRINT of Tulip is H. 3.9” (100 mm) x W. 2.8” (70 mm). Please ensure that the footprint of our wall light is large enough to cover your j-box before placing an order.* All our plaster wall sconces can be custom colored to a color of your choice if you supply a paint color reference (for an additional charge quoted on an individual order basis). If you do not request our color service, the lights are shipped in our trademark calm white color. Although our lights are wired using UL listed components, each light fitting is not UL listed. If required, we are happy to supply the name of someone in New York who can do this for USA clients. Tulip Wall Sconce © Hannah Woodhouse/2006 (date of design). SHIPPING We do not supply fixed shipping quotes to the USA or Europe as shipping costs will vary depending on how many pieces you order, and your location. We are able to offer very competitive shipping prices, so please ask us for a quotation. Our shipping cost includes insurance of the goods in transit. We run plaster casting workshops in our London studio during which participants can cast maquettes (small artist models) of our iconic wall sconces Shell, Tulip and Ovoid. Client Testimonials We have been creating and selling our products to discerning clients all over the world for 20 years, and have worked successfully with a wide range of high-end interior designers. The following represent just a small selection of the testimonials we have received, which demonstrate the quality of our work and the excellent level of client service...

Bust of Doulton Chairman Lewis John Eric Hooper by John Broad
Located in Wormelow, Herefordshire
Dated 1904, this stoneware bust was made by late 19th century Doulton sculptor John Broad. It depicts Lewis John Eric Hooper, descendant of John Doulton who was founder of the famous Doulton & Co. of Lambeth, London. A barrister at the time, Hooper became Managing Director of the ceramics company from 1919 and subsequently Chairman from 1925. Here he is depicted in his barrister dress by the talented hand of Broad, giving us a glimpse into the character of Hooper as well as Broad’s artistic talent for statuary. The bust is in good condition, made in stoneware and sits on a wooden plinth detailed with plaque. This bust is likely a one-off commission. Broad was one of the most prominent artists of Doulton & Co. during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Specialising in large works, he had a talent for producing vases, statuary and portrait medallions. This stone bust of Lewis John Eric Hooper...
