1960’s Scandinavian Modern Gudme Mobelfabrik Teak Expanding Dining Table
By Niels Otto Møller, Gudme Møbelfabrik
Located in Topeka, KS
Magnificent vintage Scandinavian Modern Gudme Mobelfabrik of Denmark teak expanding dining or conference table with 2 leaves. This piece has been attributed based upon archived research including online sources, vintage documentation and catalogs, designer literature, and other materials however, it is not signed or marked in any way. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, the top has been refinished. There were a couple spots where the veneer was sanded through right on the edge where the 2 halves come together. They have been filled and colored. There are also a couple scratches that were so deep they can still be seen but not felt. It was given a topcoat of polyurethane. Please see photos, zoom in for details, and see long description as they are part of the condition report. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, 1960’s.
Are you ready for a Delightful Danish Dining experience? We can help you achieve that!! This is a wonderful vintage Scandinavian Modern expanding dining table by Danish manufacturer Gudme Mobelfabrik in Denmark. It is beautifully comprised of a GORGEOUS teak frame and stands proud upon an incredible “boomerang” style pedestal base with solid teak legs and a bullnose edge. Let’s talk about the versatility of this Scandinavian Modern beauty! It comes with 2 leaves and adjusts from a smaller round shaped top to a larger rounded rectangular shaped tabletop AND as you add a leaf, the legs pull out incrementally with the leaves. You can add one leaf, or both depending on how much room you need. Talk about turning dinnertime into a spectacular, spacious dining experience!! It’s perfect for a growing family, someone who loves to entertain, or take it to the office as it is spacious enough to be used as an office or conference table. This Gudme Mobelfabrik table...

Has a couple of repairs where the screws were put all the way through leg assembly at some point in their lives. We have repaired & replaced hardware to match. One hole was plugged, and the plug is still slightly visible. It has been sanded, stained & a teak oil finish. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, 1950s-1960’s.
Let’s Rock… Everybody, Let’s Rock! Everybody in the whole cell block… Oh ya, you’re singing it!! Nothing like a song from the late King of Rock to introduce this Awesome vintage Rocker!!! We have a wonderful Scandinavian Modern rocker Model 120 made by France & Son, for John Stuart Co & designed by Ole Wanscher!! It wears its original brown nubby fabric and as you would expect with age and wear, it has faded, there are no holes or rips, it just looks its fabulous age. Also, its wonderful sprung cushions will need some new padding. The springs are great, just the padding.
