Antique Caucasian Daghestan Rug with Lattice Design, circa 1900

About the Item

A superb example of this well known group of rugs, this rug has excellent colour and is very well drawn with a lattice and shrub design. The rug has a classic Caucasian main border and the use of yellow and green give a very light feel that compliments the dark indigo blue in the field. The yellow in the inner reciprocal border is outstanding. The rug has very slight even wear and good pile, the rug retains the original kilim end finishes at both ends. Hand washed and ready for use or display. Additional information: Origin: Caucasian Age: Circa 1900 Size: 5ft 9in x 3ft 4in (174 x 101cm) Reference: R-2058
