Classic Antique Afghan Rug with Abrashed Field and Detailed Borders
About the Item
The abrashed, medium brown field supports three columns of six, octagonal, quartered Ongurghe tribal guls each, with minor Sekis-sagdak guls even interspersed. Two major borders: one with a diamond chain; the other with hexagons enclosing stars. Dark brown and cream accents overall. Wool construction. Coarse/moderate tribal weave. Good condition with colourful flatwoven ends.
