Hand-Knotted Antique Circa 1920 Wool Khotan Rug
About the Item
This antique, circa 1920, Khotan rug has a light-green field with a central panel containing bold pink, fox-brown and aubergine-red stylized flowerheads, with similar smaller floral sprays at each end, all within an aubergine-red border with bold polychrome scrolling vine and flowerheads with a stylized laurel-leaf vine at each side, an ivory light green panel stripe with tiny round motifs and a cusped leaf motif at each corner issuing further floral motifs.
