This premium silk rug is an open edition art rug, woven by Odabashian's network of family-owned weavers near Mirzapur, India with the finest New Zealand wool. The design was created by 2017 AIGA Medalist, graphic designer Lance Wyman for the 2015 Zona Maco Contemporary Art Fair in Mexico City. Established in 1921, Odabashian is a creative conduit for artists, designers, architects and creatives to learn, explore and create using traditional handmade rug making techniques for applications across all design industries. 90 lines, Tibetan knot technique with premium New Zealand wool and silk details. This piece has intricate hand-carving around the road signs. Lance Wyman Lance Wyman (B.1937, Newark, NJ, USA) is a graphic designer specializing in systems for cities, events, institutions and transit systems. Over the past 5 decades, he has helped to define the field of environmental graphics. His graphic design for the 1968 Mexico Olympics identity is widely celebrated as a pinnacle of environmental and branding design. He teaches corporate and wayfinding design at Parsons where he has been a visiting lecturer since 1973.
