About the Item
I sourced this rug in the city of Taznakht, southern part of Morocco, where these typical rugs are handmade by berber women. I have always loved a good, unique, vintage, oriental inspired Taznakht rug with a mix of black and bright, saffron color!
The background of this one is actually a very dark brown. The diamonds, the series of tiny birds on both sides, the teapots and other designs are a bright yellow and a soft red.
Naturally dyed with pomegranate peels. Tight weaving which is typical from the Taznakht tribe. Low to medium pile, silky and soft wool 100%.
Approximate dimensions are 3.3x6.4feet (+4inches tassels) / 100x195cm (+10cm tassels).
The rug has not been cut and comes in its original shape.
