Vintage Moroccan Taznakht rug - Orange/red - 5.2x9.5feet / 161x292cm

About the Item

This rare vintage rug was made in the area of Taznakht, Morocco. The main color I would call it "apricot" with red, black, cream and gray designs. I especially love the unsymetrical, unregular, busy designs -mostly diamonds and crosses- that bring vibrancy, elegance and a great character to the rug. A unique and artistic rug born from the imagination of the lady weaver who made it. You won't find another one like this! The rug was all handmade and shows a tight weaving which is typical from the Taznakht tribe. Low pile, silky and soft wool+goat hair. Approximate dimensions are 5.2x9.5feet (+6inches tassels) / 161x292cm (+15cm tassels). The rug has not been cut and comes in its original shape. Due to the handmade weaving work, it is not perfectly rectangle but that adds even more charm to it.
