Antique Baktiary with Dark Slate Field
About the Item
This village roomsize carpet shows a large allover pattern marked with two rows of characteristic Baktiary octogrammes each enclosing a pointed cross with four interior radiating palmettes. Strongly abrashed dark slate field. Ecru triangles above and below at the field edges. Ivory, strip-style border with a colourful variant of the “crab” pattern. Cotton foundation. Moderate/medium weave. Good condition.
