It’s a Classic Sultanabad design showcasing a regal red field with prominent green and ivory Herati flower heads all-over. The Sultanabad name hails from the city of Arak in Iran which was originally named ‘Soltan Abad’ that eventually became Sultanabad. It was founded in the early 1800s and became one of the most important rug production centers in the world.
