It’s a Classic Sultanabad design showcasing a regal brown and ivory field with prominent Herati flower heads all-over. It’s a lovely piece that should be featured in modern and contemporary spaces. The Sultanabad name hails from the city of Arak in Iran which was originally named ‘Soltan Abad’ that eventually became Sultanabad. It was founded in the early 1800s and became one of the most important rug production centers in the world.
