Narrow Malayer Runner with Rust Red Field
About the Item
The rust-red long sub-field displays jagged, pointed ends and harbours seven hexagonal medallions with paired leaves and single palmettes. Secondary rosettes. Ecru main border with affronted paired chevron leaves. Usefully narrow kenare (runner). Naturally contracted ends, but no reduction. Moderate weave on cotton, good condition.
