About the Item

This vintage hand knotted Turkish rug features an elegant, classical medallion in dark indigo adorned with dainty floral motifs and scrolling vines against a vibrant, plain field in madder red, surrounded by curvilinear, floral corner pieces in warm, earthy tones of beige, sand and cinnamon. The guard strips as well as the large main border are as meticulously drawn as the rest of the design and continue the theme of classical floral motifs. This vintage rug is very skillfully hand knotted with utmost attention to detail and boasts a striking color palette. It has a sturdy pile of sheep's wool. It is in good condition, very decorative and conveys in its look an antiquated charm that would go equally well with modern, classical and midcentury interiors. Measures: 7x10 ft.
