Brown “Shepherd’s Tulu” (DK-124-89)

About the Item

An old rug from Central Turkey in the "tülü" tradition with soft and shaggy pile, woven entirely with hand-spun, un-dyed, natural brown wool. Such rugs were originally used as beds in the weaver's household. The simplest, most humble ones like this were used by shepherds.
