This hand knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak runner features a unique medallion design with the outline of two vertically aligned and touching hexagons floating on the center of an abrashed red field. Two cruciform shapes with arrows decorate the interior of the medallion. Tree of life motifs, which represent the connecting link between heaven and earth, emanate outwards from the medallion’s four anchor pendants. A simple but effective floret border frames the composition. With its gentle waves of abrash, desirable age wear and a unique design, this vintage Oushak runner is both comfortable and inviting. Rendered in variegated shades of ruby red, scarlet red, brick red, rose, terra cotta, rust, taupe, charcoal, beige, tan, ecru, sand, peach, purple, sage, gold, brass, verdigris, dark green, gray, and slate gray.
