Fine Kayseri Rug
About the Item
A finely hand-knotted rug from Kayseri region in Central Anatolia that has been a famous rug making centre, until late 1970s. This beautiful example is well drawn and in very good condition. Unusual earthy color palette with soft terra-cotta, brown, beige, cream, mint green and mauve colors. Wool pile on cotton foundation.
