Fine Rug Vintage Turkish Hereke Carpet Oversize circa 17 x 11 ft

About

Elegant formal rug from the City of Hereke in Turkey. Very large size for a rug this fine. Light interiour field and floral design make a nice contrast with bronze medaillon and border. This semi antique carpet is in a very beautiful high pile condition. All four sides (fringes and selvedge) are perfect, untouched and original. The large Ottoman Empire star Medaillon dominates the carpet and will give an eye-catching effect to the room.
