Light-colored background rug with rotten green border traditional design without medallion
About the Item
This is a new generation Turkish carpet. Hand-knotted with wool warp and weft, it re-proposes in technique and decoration the classic themes of ancient Oushak rugs, but renewed in the hues, which are now light and very warm. These new shades are made to fit in in modern furnishings, where the rug should not play the starring role, but blend in with the environment, thus becoming a key complement to the color balance of the entire room.
The restraint and balance of this rug, allows it to be used in various rooms of the home. The proportions and decor are easy to fit in whether you need to cover it with furniture, as in a dining room, or if it is left free in the center of a room as in an entryway. The soft, lustrous wool also invites sitting in direct contact with the carpet. The thickness is not excessive, but equally useful for protection from the cold and especially for soundproofing the room, both inside to better appreciate a music, and outside to prevent the roommates downstairs from hearing our footsteps.
