Vintage Sivas Carpet
About the Item
The town of Sivas in central Turkey is the easternmost carpet producing town in that country. The rugs woven here usually have patterns that are based on those found in traditional Persian rugs and carpets. These rugs are woven with symmetrical knots on cotton foundations. This rug has an overall pattern of dense floral vinery inspired by earlier Persian Tabriz rugs and carpets. In excellent overall condition. 9' 5" x 6' 5"
