Hand-knotted in wool, this vintage 6x10 Turkish rug features a play of floral patterns in the field and border alike. On the Design: From a new curation of exciting pieces, all overdyed and with an antique wash that gives them this distressed, shabby-chic look in their texture, this vintage Turkish rug features sage green, pink and brick red tones underscore the all over patterns of field and border alike—a refreshing and fabulous play of traditional Oriental rug design and a modern air that has vast applications. Admirers of the craft will note inspiration from the Persian Herati pattern, or “fish” pattern as it’s named for the swimming sensibility of its curvaceous floral drawings.
