About the Item

This vintage 6x9 rug is a new addition to Rug & Kilim’s Mid-Century Pasha Collection. This line is a commemoration, with rare curations we believe to hail from multidisciplinary Turkish designer Zeki Müren. Further on the Design: This design connotes Müren’s mid-century take on Art Deco rugs, and seems to draw on Japanese and Chinoiserie aesthetics. Ice and sky blue with off-white and silver tones move beautifully in this abstract, painterly field, and sit gorgeous in the distressed low pile with a look like rare folk art. This is a collectible rug from this artist, and a versatile choice in size and cool color with vast applications. Further on the Condition: This mid-century rug further enjoys an otherwise good condition for this shabby-chic lineage. Hand-knotted in wool circa 1960-1970.
