Hand-knotted in wool, an antique 8x11 European rug originating from Ireland circa 1920-1930 - inspired by Persian rugs of the same and preceding periods
On the Design:
The design enjoys a black field and red border alike underscoring floral patterns in beige-brown, gold and midnight blue accents. Keen eyes will note black tones punctuating the pattern for a gorgeous dimension.
This is a warm, rich European take on Oriental rugs—which are a particularly beloved provenance to Rug & Kilim Principal Josh Nazmiyal, as well as to other admirers of the craft.
