Antique Needlepoint Rug in with Red and Green Floral Patterns, by Rug & Kilim

About the Item

This antique 6x10 needlepoint rug is a rare late 19th century addition to Rug & Kilim’s classic curations. Handwoven in wool from England circa 1890-1900. Further on the Design: This particular rug enjoys a more versatile size than most needlepoints we curate of the style, and a seldom-seen detail therein. The borderless design lends its vivid floral patterns a particularly gorgeous movement and presence that sits gorgeous underfoot. Reds, greens, whites, and pale blues mingle with a variety of rich and refreshing hues alike in this detailed, rustic work. A fabulous interpretation of European style, and a collectible rug for its provenance. Further on the condition: Further hosts good condition for its age and origin. Backing could be added for a total of $18,200 to further ensure its longevity.
