Antique French Art Deco Carpet

A rare and authentic French Art Deco carpet distinguished by a very sparse pattern composed of monochromatic frames running along only two sides. The asymmetric composition is typical for the period as often these carpets were designed by the interior decorator for specific areas, to be used often in conjunction with strategically placed furniture. Today pieces of this type are appreciated for its refined minimalist statement.
